Earlier this month, Kathy flew out of town for a few days on a business trip. If it hadn't been naptime, we probably would've brought the kids along to the airport, just to get a bit more family time before she left. However, we were running late, so they got left behind...

... on the first trip, that is. You see, after hopping out at the curb and dashing to the gate, Kathy discovered that her outbound flight was delayed -- seriously delayed. So, waiting at home was the following message: "Wake the kids, I'll be here for a while."

Maya and Bryn are already seasoned travelers, having flown cross-country twice before, but this outing gave them a chance to actually see what's going on at the airport (instead of rushing headlong to make the flight). As an added bonus, they got to walk through security for the first time. How many one year-olds can say the same?
