Familiar with the song "YMCA"? Know all the full-body letter gestures? Well then, you'd probably recognize the kids' adaptation thereof:"I-K-E-A" (with gestures, too) Yep, that's right. After no less than seven (7) visits to the newly-opened store in Stoughton, we finally pieced together enough in-stock boxes to merit a delivery run, prompting a half-hour continuous performance of said piece. Thanks to the miracles of globalization, we've since been opening and assembling boxes from the following countries:- People's Republic of China,
- Ukraine,
- Bulgaria,
- Slovenia,
- Czech Republic,
- Germany, and of course,
- Sweden.
When all's said and done, Hemnes, Lund Bjuv, Bjorna, and Olle may all sound like characters from a Marx Brothers film, but they sure do look nice in our home!

Conversation from last month:Bryn: There's one rule for show & tell at every school and afterschool and preschool and baby school: you're not allowed to show your lunch or anything you eat.
Maya: No, that's not right. You can show your lunch. Everybody does it.
Bryn: No, I'm talking about show and tell. When you show off your lunch, and talk about it and stuff. With that clarification, consider yourself informed.

A bedtime thought from Bryn:I wish that hurtness didn't arrive in the world, because then it would be a good life for everyone. And that no yelling arrived.
I wish that my life was just the way I wanted. She went on to explain that she understood that sometimes it had to happen, but she still really wished it didn't.

Pop quiz about tonight's almost-full moon:Bryn: Do you know what the gray parts are? Paul: Yes, they're craters. Bryn: No, fairies! Maya: Yep, they're fairies. Democracy trumps science, huh?
