We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please stand by. Yes, we do now own a snazzy digital camera. Yes, we did take a bunch of cool pictures this weekend during all the festivities for Kathy's cousin Kim's wedding. No, they're not available online yet.

Grumble, grumble, snort. According to Paul, it "should" only take another gizmo, or else some time to play with USB connectivity on Linux. Uh-huh. We'll believe that when we see it. ;-)

More Pictures! Here's another quick round of Grummy's pictures from about a month ago. Bryn is pretty relaxed:

Maya, on the other hand, is far too wired:

Whoops. Too late. Daddy'd better learn how to type faster, 'cause he just missed Maya's first smile, too.

Another milestone. Conversation overheard after Bryn's dinnertime feeding about two hours ago:

Bryn:(coo)

Kathy:Hi there. (delighted laughter) Did you see that? She just smiled at me!

Later we found out that Grandma had gotten the official "first smile" from Bryn earlier today. Maya's still asleep, so there's still time for claimants for her "first" to arrive. Don't wait long, though.

On good days, we try to give each of the kids some tummy time by the windows, where they lie on their bellies on their quilts. Not only does this give them some uninterrupted time to look out at the flowers and trees, but they also get some much-needed exercise for their arms, legs, and necks.

Well, today must have been an especially good day, because Maya just managed to roll herself all the way over from her front to her back, with her feet tracing out a full 90 degree arc in the process. Wow!

Did she do this to celebrate the return of her Grandma Bev? Maya's not telling, which means we'll have to test out this "celebratory hypothesis" by seeing whether there are any more firsts when other relatives arrive.

Pictures! We're still working out the technical details for getting pictures online. However, in the meantime, enterprising relatives have been smuggling prints back home, scanning them in and emailing them back to us.

Thus, the first two family pictures on this site are courtesy of Grummy, who smuggled them back to NH for one of Farfar's coworkers to scan in. This threesome is in one of their favorite positions -- asleep, of course!

That's Maya on the left and Bryn on the right. Or for those of you who'd prefer to edit out the scruffy guy in the middle, here's a closeup of the duo on Maya's new quilt from Grummy (entitled Chinese Checkers):

This time, Bryn's on the left and Maya's on the right. Note that this picture must be several weeks old already, because those babies look downright skinny!

Not to be outdone, Bryn just snuck in her first coo, too.

A milestone. Tonight, while Paul and paratrooper Bryn were cooking up a healthy dinner -- no, that's not the milestone -- there was a loud happy squeal from Kathy. The reason?

Maya's first coo. :-)
